Solution

Q Energy crafted a bespoke energy management solution utilising its advanced SmartQube hub to transform the estate into an almost entirely self-sufficient unit:

• 70 kW Ground-Mounted PV System: Installed to maximise solar capture, unlike typical residential setups.
• 215 kWh Commercial-Grade Battery Storage: To store excess solar energy, making it available during peak times and reducing grid dependency.
• EV Charger Installation: Integrated with the energy management system to optimise charging times based on energy availability and cost.
• Export Tariff Participation: Enabled the client to commercialise excess solar PV energy generated during the summer.
• Optimisation Based on Time of Use Tariff: Switched to a tariff that reduces costs by utilising lower rates during off-peak hours.
• Q Energy Hub (SmartQube) Integration: The SmartQube facilitated real-time monitoring and AI-driven optimisation of battery charge and discharge cycles, aligning with the client’s consumption patterns to maximise efficiency and savings.
